Fiordland National Park is located in the southwest corner of the South Island. Fiordland is New Zealand's largest national park at almost 3 million acres and was established in 1952. Fiordland National Park is a World Heritage wilderness area and includes Milford Sound, Mitre Peak and Doubtful Sound amongst the many scenic attractions.
